RIVER RESTORATION REVIEW - 2004

MRRCI organised this field day to demonstrate the river restoration works that had been done in the catchment and the benefits to the river eco-systems.

The field day participants viewed some the sites where work had been done to protect riverbanks from erosion. The below picture shows a bank stabilised with rock on the outer bend, which take sthe brunt of floods during winter.
