A Day In The Life Of A River

COMPETITION

The overall competition theme was "A Day In The Life Of A River".
(The Dasher, the Minnow and the Upper Don are the 3 rivers in the Mount Roland Rivercare Catchment.)
The entrant was encouraged to view the river from the perspective of one of its inhabitants - human, animal, plant, insect, bird, rock, tree, fungus, reptile, etc……

The competition ran from 8th June 2006 - 11th July 2006. Here are a few of the entries:

CATEGORIES

• Art (Drawing or Painting) 5-10 years
• Art (Drawing or Painting) 11-16 years

• Written (Essay or Poem) 5-10 years
• Written (Essay or Poem) 11-16 years

PRIZES:

For each category and age group, the following prizes were awarded:

• FIRST PRIZE: $75 CASH PRIZE
• SECOND PRIZE: CMAX DOUBLE MOVIE PASS (courtesy of CMAX Cinemas, Devonport)

Also, the FIRST 10 entries received an ART & CRAFT KIT
